This made a major contribution to the IT security of the city government by improving server security at city departments, boosting awareness campaign on privacy protection and ensuring the secure operation of each department.     * * Oct'12 Completed the mobile version of the real-time online service system to make it more convenient for the general public to check case progress. (System Development Section)
    * * Sep'12 Organized common platform system function upgrade training for city departments, added Chinese edition to the mobile webpage and QR code support as well to make it convenient for the general public to quickly browse the website of each department on smart platforms.     * * Aug'12 Purchased one each of iOS Android mobile device accounts in support of the "Mobile e-Government" initiative in Phase 4 of the e-Government program as well as the planned "Smartphone Application Program" of city departments.     * * June'12 Two government employee email social engineering education promotions were held on June 6 and 7 to ensure the employees' awareness and vigilance towards email operations, in turn minimizing potential informational security risk factors. (Web Service Section)
    * * May'12 The "Kaohsiung City Government Digital Creative Talent Creation and Incubation Platform" digital creative industry talent matchmaking conference was held on May 10 at the Kaohsiung Software Technology Park. In total, 33 persons were successfully matched and signed the letter of intent. (System Development Section)
    * * April'12 In conjunction with the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission's Joint Service Center, the "Online Real-time Service System" education training was organized at various institutions between April 10 and 12. In total, 225 persons from 12 classes attended the training. The purpose was to facilitate the processing of complaints and enhance the efficiency and quality of public service.     * * March'12 The application and creation of the City Government's Chinese domain was registered and created on March 27 for the general public's convenient usage and to publicize the Kaohsiung City Government's website. (Infrastructure Section)

The expanded system will help provide comprehensive public services by allowing district offices to process city residents' suggestions more effectively and enable more efficient tracking of case progress by personnel units (System Development Section)
    * * Jul'11 The "2011 KCG Government and School Website Audit Plan" was drawn up to improve the delivery of public services over the Internet. Starting on July 4, 2011, the web audit will ensure that the content on government and school websites are correct and up to date (Web Service Section)
    * * Jul'11 The KCG household registration system and server equipment were moved from the Siwei server room to the Fongshan Administration Center server room on July 2 (Infrastructure Section)

    * * May'11 The 2011 "IT Security in Practice" class was held at the personnel developmentcenter with approximately 220 trainees. This year, the class was expanded to 2 sessions over 4 days. In addition to the exciting instruction and content, the class also balances theory with practice as well. The class is expected to significantly boost the IT security consciousness and ability of participants, enhancing the IT security of the KCG (Infrastructure Section)
    * * May'11 Organized the "Salary Management System" seminar in response to the amalgamation of counties and cities. By computerizing and standardizing the review procedure of government/school cashier operations, this will efficiency as well as reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. Participation was expanded to health clinics throughout what used to be Kaohsiung County and 230 elementary/junior high schools (System Development Section)
    * * April'11 Organized 2 sessions of "User Training for Preliminary IT Equipment Budget Online Review System" to promote the preliminary online review mechanisms. This will expedite the preliminary review of the 2012 IT hardware budget (Web Services Section)
    * * April'11 To raise awareness of social engineering via e-mail among employees, two sessions of employee e-mail and two e-mail social engineering exercises were organized between April and May. The exercises help make employees more sensitive to e-mail use. Three website vulnerability training courses also helped to reduce the risk of all potential IT risks (Web Services Section)
    * * April'11 To promote energy conservation and reduce paper consumption, organized system training for "Online Government Approval System". By helping government agencies automate their review process and eliminating the need for manual chops and deliveries, the reduction in data and streamlining of business procedures will help boost administrative efficiency (System Development Section)
    * * Mar'11 All units in the Fongshan Administrative center provided with abnormal bandwidth and IT early warning penalty to realize the "Everyone in IT has responsibility for Civil IT Security" (Infrastructure Section)
    * * Mar'11 To support the seamless migration of Kaohsiung County and Kaohsiung City, the "Inter-Agency Public Service Information Platform" was set up. Documentation can be queried and downloaded online. Inter-agency collaboration also monitors enquiries to better serve the general public. This will shorten the total amount of time required for queries and processing applications. The general public may also submit their application to any office and have it processed in a nearby truck. This will provide city residents with more convenient service (System Development)
    * * Mar'11 Due to the amalgamation of counties and cities, a global website for the KCG is required to help promote Greater Kaohsiung. The "Using the Global Website Backend Management Platform" seminar shows how KCG agencies can provide the general public with a wide range of comprehensive online services by using the website as a platform for distributing activity news, promoting city operations, integrating city applications and downloading application forms.
    * * Feb'11 The Center has developed the "Online Service Data and Business Intelligence System" to provide the mayor and department heads with timely, accurate and comprehensive decision-making information. System seminars have been organized for tier 1 agencies of the KCG to secure the true support of the city executives and facilitate the system's adoption/commissioning (System Development Section)
    * * Jan'11 The budget for the "Promoting Internet Access in the General Public Plan" was approved by the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan. The program seeks to promote public use of computers and the Internet through public awareness programs. Narrowing the digital divide, bringing government agencies and the general public closer together, will improve the general public's satisfaction with the delivery of government services (System Development Section)
