    Aug'18 To consolidate the achievements in information auditing and management in different units, the information evaluation for 2018 was held to promote information efficacy and the contents of innovative services. Distinguished Award in Category 1, Distinguished Award in Category 2, and the Class A Accomplishment Unit were the Civil Affairs Bureau & Land Administration Bureau and Information Bureau & Social Affairs Bureau. Awards were presented at the 390th City Administration Conference held on September 11 by the Mayor to encourage related personnel.
    Jul'18 The “Public Policy Network Participation and Platform Promotion Educational Training” for Level 1 organizations and district offices was held on July 25 to facilitate the government promoting online civil participation.
    Jul'18 The Forward-Looking Infrastructure Scheme –Enhancement of Informational Safety and Joint-Defense Project was implemented on the information safety systems in four places – Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Penghu County, and Taitung County (aka Kao-Ping-Peng-Dong) to promote the quality and capacity of information security.
    Jun'18 “SMART Kaohsiung – Creative City Affairs Proposal on Campus” was a pioneer Hackathon activity with credits. Having undergone the process of visiting organizations, experts and scholars’ speeches, and instructions, there were 30 teams entering the semi-final to compete for the NT$220,000 prize money. The final jury was held at Kaohsiung Software Technology Park – International Conference Room on June 7. The Commissioner of the Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission, Executive Yuan was invited to present the award.
    Jun'18 The Hamaxing Smart Street Lamp Demonstration Zone of Kaohsiung City was held. The smart street lamps can report the conditions in real-time, monitor traffic flow, and monitor air quality, as well as gather information. During the rainy season, they can monitor the water gauges installed by the Water Resource Bureau in flood-prone zones to facilitate community safety and protection.
    Jan'18 Kaohsiung City Government helped sponsor the “2018 Smart City Round Table Forum” and signed the MOU with Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Penghu County, and the United States Chamber of Commerce to share the experience of the promotion of and future plans for Kaohsiung as a smart city. /td>
