    Jun'08 On 3 June, the Director of the Center made detailed and precise presentation at the city council’s hearing on the City Government’s organizational framework; on 17 June, the amendments to the reorganization act was passed after three readings, upgrading Department of Information Management Kaohsiung City Government as the 1st level unit.

    Jul'08 Completed the certifications of the Pre-Event Series Air Sports for the World Games 2009.
    Sep'08 A Farewell Luncheon and Takeover Ceremony was held on 30 September in honor of the retiring Director Huang, Yin-Huang and Deputy Director Tsai Kuang-yiao, succeeded by commissioner Lin Jung-shun, as acting director of the Information Center.
    Sep'08 Engaged Chang Chun-yang, associate professor of Applied Science at National Kaohsiung University as the Director of the Provisional Department of Information Management Kaohsiung City Government.
    Oct'08 Upgraded the webmail for the City Government’s workers to version 4.0 and related functions of anti-hacking authorization, to establish the foundation for quality administration processes.
    Nov'08 Completed the certifications of the Pre-Event Series Gymnastics, Korfball, Water Ski and Boules Sports for the World Games 2009.

    Apr'07 The Director announced the receiving of the authentication of ISO27001 for the center. (07/04/03)
    Jul'07 Completed the purchase of hardware and the installment of "the server for government document electronic exchange system".
    Oct'07 On 23 Oct., the Center’s Information and Communication Security Management System was validated by SGS, Taiwan as ISO27001 international standards practitioner. The scope of validation included the managements of facility rooms, E-services, network in optic fiber backbone, single sign-in, computer facilities, and the planning, introduction, operation maintenance and related services of disaster recovery and internet hacking system, and were designed to build a cyber environment of “co-sharing of resources and exchanging of messages” by providing safe, assuring and convenient quality information services to both the government and the citizens.     Mar'06 Completed email system configuration for 2009 World Games.
    Apr'06 Planned and performed the switching of networking services from HINET to GSN/VPN for offices abroad to match the national standard.
    Jun'06 Completed the "improvement in Network security monitoring" project to strengthen monitoring and controlling to virus and information security cases.
    Jul'06 Completed the "expanding data backup system" project to ensure the safe keeping of important data of the city.
    Jul'06 Completed "improving governmental website security" project, and improve information security and early rate of discovery of and the recovery from information security incidents.
    Aug'06 Performed the annual information security drill for '06. All departments able to satisfactorily complete the tasks.
    Sep'06 Completed the authentication and result announcement process for 2009 World Game Trial Games-ice skating and the Dragon Boat race.
    Oct'06 Completed the registration, authentication, and result announcement designs for 2006 World Games trial games.

    Nov'06 Completed the "upgrading of knowledge server" for the city and advised all the departments to use.
    Nov'06 Improved the functions and raise the speed of "information knowledge management system". Complete Information management related hard/software set up, provide multimedia creation platform, and collect information from national databases, case studies, multimedia experiences, workshops from experts, city council meeting and others, in order to provide references and materials for training for each department. Expand this process to all departments and school in the city as references and establish core-business related knowledge database.
    Nov'06 Completed the establishment of "new modules for City of Kaohsiung's E-Government service platform", in order to allow the departments to focus on innovating the development and expansion of services through the connection and information exchange on the platform. New services regarding cases that weren't able to be processed online on the accounts of personal identification and fee will be gradually provided and improved.
    Nov'06 Established "information system single login interface function and departmental web-email" to complete the process of channeling all processes, services, and application through a single login interface, and also improve the web page email function for the employee' mailbox to establish the basis of "channeling all information through a single window" to ensure information security and efficiency in services.

    Nov'06 Got private 4M/1M high bandwidth ADSL lines and open for leasing to alleviate bandwidth issues for offices abroad.
    Dec'06 Established a PDA version for the website for the city government.
    Dec'06 Completed the e-counting for votes for the 4th mayor and the 7th council member election for the city.
    Dec'06 Completed "new e-government service platform module out sourcing project".
