2011 Policy Plan for the Department Of Information Management, KCG

	Vision
	To strengthen the overall IT competitiveness of Kaohsiung city by building up a citizen-oriented e-Government, enhancing administrative efficacy and uplifting service quality with applied information technology.

	Missions
	1.Continue to strengthen the development, integration and promotion of common IT systems; advise government agencies on the IT consolidation and training; ensure the continuity of KCG IT operations and systems. 2.Apply Web 2.0 technology to create an integrated KCG portal for living information; step up vulnerability scanning of KCG websites to provide city residents with more convenient and secure IT services. 3.Adjust the KCG server room, network equipment and IT security monitoring/management mechanism based on each agency's actual requirements; introduce virtualization technology for resource integration as part of the move towards cloud computing..

	Core Values
	Being the specialized unit in charge of information technologies under the City Government, the Division applies these technologies to implement an electronic government and enhance the benefits of the municipal administration. The Division is aggressive in driving and planning policies of information technologies for the City and effectively integrates and applies the resources of these technologies to reinforce the City’s competitiveness in information so as to achieve the total goal of our maritime capital — Civil involvement in a happy Kaohsiung.
